Ahhh World of Warcraft addiction gets taken to another level! Now, not only can you play WoW for hours upon hours but you can also hop on your phone to get your fix now too. Whether or not you will actually be able to play the game fully, or if you are only able to chat and check your statuses of your characters is still up in the air. Blizzard themselves have said that they feel WoW requires a keyboard and mouse to play it which is why they haven’t ported it to any consoles. So that leads me to believe that the mobile version of WoW will merely be a way to chat and do things of that nature rather than full force character leveling, etc. I think it would be better this way simply because of the small screens that cell phones have. Personally, I couldn’t stand playing a game on a 15 inch computer monitor…let alone one that is only an inch and a half or so. I do think its a good decision on apple and blizzard parts to allow this to happen though. It should be interesting to see how it goes!

It has been announced that Blizzard is updating the class changes progressively in World of Warcraft. Is this good or bad? Well, it’s a little bit of both in my humble opinion. What’s good about it is that they are trying to see how the changes in the last patch work out because they were such drastic changes. And by “they” I mean the developers of course. So what’s bad about it? Well the bad thing is that they are doing things a little slower than most people were hoping. The drastic changes in the last patch certainly didn’t make everyone happy. Those who are unhappy with the changes want things fixed, altered, etc. However, from a programmers point of view I can certainly say that they are making a very good strategic move. There is no need for continually updating any game without seeing how the last update affected the gameplay. That’s just a bad decision for the developer to make. First off, people get tired of updating all the time. Secondly, you may look past a change that was really awesome and patch it up before giving it a chance to be realized by the gamers. So my advice is to be patient with Blizzard and let them do their job. I think they have been at it long enough to know what they are doing. If you don’t agree…then good luck trying to make them move at any other pace. Oh and by the way…it won’t happen.
