Worst NES Game Endings Ever

Posted on Feb 6, 2008 06:03:46 PM

Remember spending hours upon hours trying to beat a NES game only to find that once you do…the ending is less than worth it? I certainly do! It used to drive me crazy!! One game that comes to mind for me is the NES version of Rampage. A friend of mine and I rented the game and stayed up all night playing it. We were bound to conquer all the states and beat the game. Of course, we did accomplish this but the ending was HORRIBLE. All that happened was the characters (wolf, ape, and lizzard) walk out from the side of the screen and turn into people. Then…wait this is the big moment….they wave at you! Then, to top it off you get slammed with the Game Over screen. What a slap in the face right? I hated that so much that I refuse to play the new Wii version of the game to this day. Anyway, I am sure you will remember experiencing some of these endings in the video below. Just to name a few that you will see: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Friday the 13th, Bubble Bobble, and the original Super Mario Bros. game.

Enjoy!

NES Commercials - A Blast From The Past!

Posted on Feb 6, 2008 08:47:44 AM

I’ve been gaming since the Atari days, so when I came across this commercial I was pretty much shocked to see it again. For those of you who are old school gamers like me…you will certainly appreciate taking another peek at this. And for those of you who weren’t even born yet, you can still enjoy the ridiculous quality of the commercial. It’s so crazy to look back at gaming 20 something years ago. It was much much different than todays standards, but the games were still so much fun! Check out the first Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) commercial below, and as an added bonus I found an old Toys R Us commercial as well. They are both pretty cheesy, but I still miss those days and the style of gaming back then!
