First off, let me say that I have owned the Nintendo Wii since it’s release in the U.S. and really enjoyed it…for awhile. The thing about this console is that it is mainly a “party machine”. By that I mean it’s really only fun when you and a group of friends get together and play games like bowling, tennis, or something like Mario Party with a lot of mini-games. That’s a lot of fun and all, but when you are alone and playing the Wii the gameplay changes drastically. If you play those same games you were having a blast while playing with your friends then you will probably see how quickly it loses its flair. Now of course there are games that are more geared to the a single player such as Zelda, Metroid, Sonic Rings, and Super Mario Galaxy. However, have you played these games with the Wii controls? I’ll admit Zelda was actually awesome and certainly the number one game for the Nintendo Wii. But there is a lacking of games that equal up to the “fun factor” that Zelda provided. I think this has a lot to do with the controls. Sure playing tennis, baseball, or even going fishing is really cool with Wii-mote technology, but that same technology steals away from the gameplay of a lot of games on the Nintendo Wii (particularly first-person shooters). It could just be me…but aiming a Wii-mote at the screen to shoot down enemies in a game such as Metroid just sucks. Seriously. It reminds me of the days of the Nintendo 64 because of its somewhat broken gameplay. The Wii mote doesn’t always detect your movements unless it’s perfectly aimed or done every time, which makes it really hard to complete some tasks. This isn’t because the game is broken though, it is because the controls are. I feel that the Nintendo Wii will end up like the Gamecube eventually when the novelty of the “innovative” controls wears off on the public. That is of course unless people really enjoy having the “party machine” console. In that case, you are good to go as far as the gaming experience goes. However, if you are a hardcore gamer…your best bet is to go with PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 instead. Otherwise you will find yourself disappointed in the long run in my humble opinion. The other current consoles provide a solid singleplayer and multiplayer experience with almost all of their games (of course a few games will bomb every now and then). Whereas I would say the Nintendo Wii has a 1 in 10 chance of being a solid game. In the end I just don’t like those odds.

The Nintendo Wii Declines as a Singleplayer Console
Major League Eating Video Game?
Yeah…when I read about this I felt just the same as you probably do right now. As in WTF?! First off, I am not sure how I feel about the fact the we have an actual league for people to stuff their faces as much as possible professionally while other people are starving to death in the same country. However, I can get over this idiotic “sport” and chalk it up to strange entertainment but now we are soon to see a video game about this? Now that’s just ridiculous!
So what should you expect for this upcoming game that has recently acquired a license? Well you should expect the same level of entertainment that you would get at an actual competition. All you will be doing is mastering the art of eating…whatever that is. To top it all off you will be able to use defensive and offensive weapons (if you can call them that) that include burping, belching, mustard gas, and just about anything else that could be funny to the immature crowd. I mean let’s get serious for a moment…how did a project like this get the green light for production? I truly think it’s sad that this game will be hitting the shelves, and I feel sorry for the development team that gets stuck with this instant crapper. At this time there isn’t any information about specific platforms, release date, publisher, etc., so all I can hope for is that this project gets canned before it goes any further. There has to be something else better for players to play and programmers to program other than a game based on a retarded eating competition. In fact, I am not even going to waste anymore time talking about this! ![]()
Madden NFL 08 Cheats (PS2)
Madden NFL 08 has been released and your looking some cheats for it eh? No problem you are in the right spot. I must say that the Madden 08 “cheats” that you find on the web for the Xbox 360 are not really anything crazy, and they are more of hints and tips. However, for the PS2 you will find the best game bug exploit below! Enjoy!
Madden 08 Cheats for Playstation 2
Free Advertising + Revenue
This bug exploit has been known to work with any Madden game made for the PS2 that has owner mode available so if you own some old version you can do this on them as well! Goto your advertising budget and set it as high as you want…the higher you set it, the more you get in return. Now you can sim the games up until Monday Night Football or play them. It doesn’t matter as long as you do not sim the Monday Night Football game. Go back to the owner mode screen and set your budget all they way to zero. Now sim the remaining games left for the week (or play them). Now you can enjoy getting more people attending because of the advertising you did, but you won’t even have to pay for it. Plus, you get to keep the revenue gained from the advertising as well!
Twisted Metal Coming To Playstation 3 (PS3)

It has been confirmed that Twisted Metal is coming to the Playstation 3 in late 2009 during an interview for Twisted Metal: Head On - Extra Twisted Edition (PS2). Both games will be a lot of fun, but this game will be so awesome with the new and updated graphics of the PS3. Twisted Metal has come a long way since its birth, but one thing has always been maintained….the game is SO fun. Now I will admit that if you go play the first version of the game now, you may not enjoy the mechanics so much. However, the gameplay has been perfected over and over with each release so the game has a more complete feel now. Whether or not the game will be downloadable via PSN or available on Blu-Ray disc has yet to be announced. Personally, I hope they will put it on the network because I just love being able to download a game immediately without having to leave the house. Yeah, I’m lazy…but who cares? Anyway, the only downfall I can see with this game so far is that we have to wait so long for it to come out. I suppose great things come to those who wait though, so let’s see if it’s worth the wait once we reach the release date.
Get Paid To Play Video Games
You have to admit that at some point you have thought about playing video games…and getting paid to do it. Even if you are a casual gamer or even barely a gamer at all, the idea of playing a video game for cash is still pretty sweet. Especially compared to most bottom level jobs out there. So the question is…can this happen? The short answer is “yes”. It can certainly happen if you get in with the right place.
There are a couple of ways you can get paid to play video games. The first is being hired to beta test a game. Beta testing is extremely important to game developers because without learning about what the player thinks, working out the bugs, and fixing anything else that needs fixing…the game would just end up most likely sucking. A lot of games end up being rushed through this phase because publishers won’t allow time much time for this to take place. It’s these games that make up the bargain bin at your local game store. Now I am not saying that all games that don’t do extensive testing will be horrible, but most of them will. The second way to get paid to play video games is to play competitively in tournaments. Gaming is actualy becoming a sport in a way, and if you hone your skills enough in a game you can earn some big bucks. There are 13 year olds making tons of cash for playing games such as Call of Duty, Counterstrike, Half-life, Quake, and many more popular titles. This used to be limited to the PC, but now with the PlayStation network and Xbox Live…this is being taken to another level. I have a friend who received an invite to play his favorite basketball game for PS3 in a tournament for a grand prize of 100,000. Even if he doesn’t win anything, he gets a free all expense paid trip to Las Vegas just to play a video game. Pretty cool eh? Well, I think so anyway!
In conclusion, there are way to get paid to play video games. You just have to choose which path you want to take or try both. Beta testing is something that you will most likely find online. Browse around the internet and you are bound to find legitimate developers who want to put cash in your pocket for your input on their game. Also, if you are already “pro” at one of your favorite games go ahead and take it to the next level. Try to find some online cash tournaments and enter. If nothing else, you can say you tried. Putting yourself out there is the main thing you have to do to accomplish anything in life. Without trying you will get nowhere fast. With that said, I hope you find what you are looking for with your gaming life. Good luck with the path you choose, and never give up. You will get there. ![]()
World of Warcraft Cheats, Hacks, Bots, and Exploits
World of Warcraft (aka WoW) is certainly one of the biggest games to hit the market in quite some time. Along with this big title comes all the cheats, hacks, bots, exploits, guides, walkthroughs, macros, scripts, etc. You may or may not know that using some of these methods can get you account suspended or even permanently banned. However, it is true…you could lose everything you have worked for because of one bad decision. In fact, here is a quote directly from Blizzard (the creatores of WoW and Battle.net):
“Blizzard Entertainment takes an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance on hacks and cheats committed against any games played on Battle.net. Hack and cheat programs provide an unfair advantage to their users, and they impair, devalue, and in some cases seek to ruin the gameplay experience of legitimate players.
The use of such programs is a violation of the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or our products End User License Agreements. This can result in, but is not limited to, Battle.net account closures, muting or banning of Blizzard Entertainment CD-keys. We are now proactively tracking down all sites that host these programs.”
So what is safe to use and what isn’t? I have compiled a list of just that to help you make the decision before just diving in and downloading a bunch of crap that can get you in trouble.
What isn’t safe:
Bots - WoW Bots such as the World of Warcraft Honor Bot, Fishing Bot, Auto-IT, AC Tool, Realm Bot, and Auto-Leveling bot are dangerous to use no matter what the website or person says to you. They will often tell you its “undetectable”, which should automatically be a red flag to you. They wouldn’t say this if the program wasn’t illegal in the first place. Blizzard frowns upon bots because they are influencing the gameplay unfairly in some way or another.
Exploits - An exploit is when you are using a game bug to your advantage. These are often patched quickly because Blizzard does a good job of staying on top of their game. Even though you are only exploiting a bug, this could still result in a warning or suspension.
Hacks/Cheats - After reading the quote above from Blizzard, you should know already that this is a major offense. Any program that is promising you an unfair advantage such as speed hacks, maphacks, gold cheats, etc. is NOT acceptable to use. These programs directly violate the Terms of Service (TOS) and End User License Agreement (EULA) which you agreed to abide by upon installing the game.
Scamming - Even though you are merely taking advantage of a users inability to make a good decision, this can still get you in trouble. Not only is it a pretty scummy thing to do, but the game staff is doing everything they can to make this game a fun and clean environment for players. This obviously cannot happen with people running around scamming other players.
What is safe to use:
Strategy Guides/Walkthrough - Using a strategy guide or walkthrough to level up your player, gain gold faster, and give you tips and tricks to complete tasks within the game are certainly safe to use….as long as these don’t include any use of hacks, scams, or exploits. If you are ever questionable about something feel free to contact Blizzard directly. They will not penalize you for asking a question!
Macros - I have not found or heard anything about these being illegal. However, just think before you use something that is going to add an advantage to you in the game. Don’t you want to be the best of the best based on you own skills anyway?
Unless you don’t mind losing your account, if you are in doubt about something you should contact Blizzard or post on the forums to clear things up BEFORE using the program or technique in question. It is always better to be safe rather than sorry…seriously.I am not against cheating in most games, however, I do have to side with Blizzard in this case. MMORPG games are meant to be a fun and entertaining experience for players and cheats completely ruin that. Help make the community a better place by reporting WoW cheat/hack sites and/or cheaters/scammers here (will open in a new window). So with that said go play the game, meet some cool people, have some fun, and stop looking for cheats.
